Great Find: Saving Money on Marjolein Bastin Hallmark products!

Marjolein Bastin cards, frames, stickers and gift bag.

I am very fond of Marjolein Bastin's artwork.  I was very lucky to stumble upon all this...not all at once, but over the period of a month.  All are new or "new condition".  The plastic wrap is on the stickers and photo frame.  The white box picture frame is really a music box with a hand-turned player!

Most of these items were under $2.00, or less, as in the case of the stickers and gift bag.
Greeting cards and gift bags are a great way to SAVE big at a thrift store.  Some stores sell cards in bags that are sealed, grab bag style.  With the price of ONE greeting card often about $5.00 at a regular outlet--you could easily pay $3-$4 for an assortment of cards.  No, not everyone will be suitable for your use, but I have found some great stationery and PRE-STAMPED postcards as well.  The stamped ones I only needed to add 3 cents postage and they were good to go.  The booklet of pre-stamped postcards cost me about $1.  The postage was worth quite a bit more than the price I paid and got some pretty postcards as well.  Sometimes I find only a couple of cards to my liking or suitable for my use; but I have, many times, found wonderful greeting cards, and thank you notes, and stickers in a bag that cost about $2.  What you can't use you can re-donate (to another store) or give to children to play with (and teach them how to address envelopes).  I've never met a kid that doesn't like to play mailman!
These cards are lacy and embossed and beautiful!!

For gift bags, greeting cards, post cards, stationery, wrapping paper, gift boxes,  and party supplies it's a wise idea to keep this department on your "check every time" list...you can't trust they will always have a good assortment of the type of card you need, just when you need it.  Buy ahead...you will be able to afford to!

[the pansy cards are not by Hallmark or the artist Marjolein Bastin, but they are lovely!!]
